Orlando Kart Center Track Information:

There is an employee living inside the property, the property has alarm but the gates will close every day at 10:00 pm. If someone wants to go in or out after 10pm they will have to arrange with the guard.

There is no hook up for power or sewer for motor homes.

Parking will only be done during day-light. No parking will be done at night. The car parking lot is not the same as the pit parking lot. Once you drop off your trailer you will not drive your vehicle back in. An external parking lot will be available and transportation for ice and parts will be supplied.
Practice ends everyday at 5pm.
There will be rental karts available for rent after 5pm.

Orlando Kart Center Parking Information

If OKC gets more than 50 drivers who want to practice on Friday night, they will run and additional practice from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Timing sheets with 3 spit times will be available for sale to all drivers. We will have TV’s available so everyone can see their times.

We will have Direct TV so we can watch the Indy 500.
If any team wants to have food catered for them, let us know because we do have a cater.

Overnight Camping....$50 per RV

Pit spots are first come first parked. No reserved spots, 10'x35', $35ea. Parking of non support vehicles will be allowed based on space. Overflow parking will be on adjacent property.

Track is open 9:30-5:00pm Tuesday through Thursday prior to event. Track fee is $55 per driver, $5 per crew.

Friday practice begins at 9:00am and ends at 5pm, $35 per driver.

Ft Myers Track Information:

1. Entrance to Kart track will be the North Gate. Off highway 31 of the CIVIC CENTER
2. All vehicles will be parked in designated parking area. Not at their trailers. Trailer parking/pit area is for trailers only.
3. All parking spots are approx. 15' x 38'
4. RV over night parking is available with CIVIC CENTER (239-543-8368) $25.00 per night, full hook up.
5. Thursday - Gates will open at 8:00am and close at 9:00pm
6. Friday - Gates will open at 7:00am and close at 9:00pm, Same for Sat. & Sun.
7. On site concessions will be on Fri., Sat., & Sun.
8. ATM is on site at CIVIC CENTER. We do not take Credit Cards.
9. CIVIC CENTER will be having the Big Boy Tech Show same weekend. They will have their own parking area. Approx. 8,000 to 10,000 people attend the show.
10. March 24th & 25th we will be open for practice. 24th (8am - 4pm) and 25th (9pm - 4pm)

The Board determined that the vacant board member positions (Vice President and 2 Cycle Senior Representative) would be filled by the FKCS member which ran for that position for the 2012 season and received the most votes. Each of those members accepted the position and the FKCS welcomes Brian Lockwood of Tallahassee, FL as the new Vice President and Robert Warren of Naples, FL as the new 2-Cycle Senior Representative.

Todd Kovi has resigned his position as FKCS president. This will not effect the racing schedule or any event moving forward. FKCS will continue to operate business as usual. We understand it is important to keep our memebers updated and to assure you as members this will not effect the remainder of the 2012 racing season.

The FKCS Board has reviewed the issue from Homestead regarding the Rotax pigtail coil, which was declared illegal by Rotax effective 1/1/2012. It was determined the root cause of how the pigtail coils passed through inspection was due to a lack of procedure that informs the technical inspectors of any rules beyond the scope of WKA that are to be enforced for each race. Therefore we have implemented a procedure to prevent this from recurring in the future. Furthermore the pigtail coil is illegal per the Rotax rules and will not be allowed.

After many lengthy discussions regarding the potential impact to any Rotax class run in Homestead, past decisions regarding similar situations, and issues of precedence, the FKCS Board has ruled the points posted for Homestead will remain as raced.

Summary on Supplemental Rules Updates:

- No Hopping language reinstated from 2011
- Lapped traffic black flag clarified, mixed classes will not be black flagged for lapped traffic
